Get PageQuilt
Install PageQuilt from the Chrome Web Store for Chrome desktop 131 or newer. No PageQuilt account or server setup is required.
Add to Chrome ↗Check the Chrome Web Store listing for the latest available version and updates.
Install and start
Open the store listing in Chrome, choose Add to Chrome, and review the permission prompt. Pin PageQuilt from Chrome’s Extensions menu.
To collect a website, open PageQuilt, choose New book, and enter a public website URL. Review the website, allow access to its origin, and select your scope. Keep the full PageQuilt tab open during collection. Access to external image origins is requested separately.
Save a page in v0.5.0
Visit a public page, open PageQuilt from the toolbar, and choose Save this page. This saves the link and available title and description locally. It does not capture an offline article yet. Open the saved page to add notes, or choose Export in Your library to grant access and collect the article.
Use Today to revisit unread originals. Add notes and topics, search Your library, and select captured sources for a Reading edition. Set a title and reading budget, review the outline, and create the edition before exporting.
Read and download
Open a collected book to read it. In v0.5.0, Contents provides navigation, Style holds optional typography and layout controls, and Review shows image and coverage notes. Wait for edits to show Saved, then choose Export and select PDF or EPUB. Earlier versions label these actions Read, Design, and Download. PDF uses offline pagination.
For browser printing, choose More PDF options → Use browser layout. In Chrome’s print dialog, choose Save as PDF, match your design’s paper size, use 100% scale, enable background graphics, and turn off Chrome’s own headers and footers. Canceling the dialog returns to editing. PageQuilt cannot tell whether you saved a file.
Optional AI and Kindle delivery in v0.5.0
Settings → AI processing reports whether Chrome’s local model is available on your device. After model setup, you can create digests or follow questions with selected captured originals. Check generated interpretations against the quoted source passages. Notes, original reading, and editions remain available without AI.
Settings → Kindle delivery offers Amazon account and, in configured builds, Gmail. Connect your chosen provider and destination, then review the prepared PDF or EPUB before sending. Provider submission does not confirm receipt on your Kindle.
Missing content or interrupted collection
Open Review → Coverage & notes for skipped pages and images; Collection details has the collection log. Use Resume collection after an interruption, or Retry unavailable images to recover saved image sources. Website structure, robots rules, permissions, and collection limits can produce partial editions.
JavaScript loading and diagram preservation are off by default. Enable them only for sites you trust: their background tabs may use your signed-in session. Diagram capture triggers Chrome’s debugger notification.
Manage your local data
Use Site access to revoke website grants. In v0.5.0, Your library sources and Books are independent: deleting a book keeps imported sources, and deleting a source keeps already-created editions. Source deletion removes its original, notes, and digests. Clearing extension storage or uninstalling can erase your local data; export important editions as PDF or EPUB first.
